On September 17, a clip appeared on social networks recording the scene of a container truck being trapped in the middle of a railway track in the area of Dai Dong commune, Hung Yen province, causing vehicles to stop.
According to the content of the clip, at the time the container truck was stuck, a train was moving to the intersection area. The train then stopped and sounded the horn. Because the container truck could not move out of the stuck position on its own, another vehicle was mobilized to assist in moving the truck out of the railway area.
The incident affected traffic in the area, and vehicles passing through here had to stop and wait.
According to local residents, the location of the incident was about 2km from the station. At the time of the incident, the train had just left the station, so it was moving at a slow speed.
Many people who regularly pass through this area said that the road through this area is under repair, the road surface has many potholes, so the traffic of vehicles, especially large tonnage vehicles, is difficult. The situation of congestion and cases of vehicles encountering difficulties when passing through this intersection is said to have happened before.
This is the intersection between the branch road from the industrial park and the railway, with many trucks and container trucks regularly circulating. People believe that the road surface is being repaired, with many rugged spots and potholes, making it difficult for large vehicles to move through the intersection.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of September 17, leaders of Dai Dong commune said that the incident happened at about 8 am on September 17. The container truck was traveling through the intersection with the railway when it suddenly stalled and could not continue moving. The driver promptly informed the incident so that the moving train could stop.
After that, the commune police force was sent to the scene to handle the situation, and at the same time mobilized vehicles to support pulling the container truck out of the railway area. The incident was resolved in a few minutes, the train was only shortly delayed before continuing its journey.
