In the afternoon of September 17, the Central Internal Affairs Commission held a press conference to announce the results of the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negative Phenomena (Steering Committee) held on the same day.
At the meeting, the Steering Committee agreed to conclude the monitoring and direction of 5 cases, including:
(1) The case of "Giving bribes; Receiving bribes" occurring at the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Project Management Board and related units;
(2) The case "Violating regulations on land management; Fraudulent appropriation of property" related to the allocation of land in the Nha Trang airport area to pay for 3 BT projects in Khanh Hoa province;
(3) The case "Giving bribes; Receiving bribes; Bribery brokerage" related to Hoang Kim Khanh and some other subjects, occurring in Da Nang city and some localities (phase 2);
(4) The case of "Abusing positions and powers while performing official duties; Irresponsibility causing serious consequences" occurred at Tay Nguyen Regional General Hospital;
(5) The case "Violating regulations on banking operations, other activities related to banking operations" occurred at Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Business Center Branch and a number of related organizations.
At the same time, the Steering Committee agreed to include the case "Smuggling; Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences; Receiving bribes" occurring at Viet My Medical Investment Joint Stock Company and related units into the area of monitoring and direction of the Steering Committee.
