Vinh Long - 2,473 cadres from Ben Tre, Tra Vinh to Vinh Long working after the merger were supported with 4 million VND/month.

The People's Council of Vinh Long province has just issued a Resolution on support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers from Ben Tre province and Tra Vinh province (before the merger) to work in Vinh Long province.

The policy will be applied for 24 months, from August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2027, with a support level of 4 million VND/person/month, including travel expenses, rent and living expenses.

The beneficiaries of the policy are 2,473 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of Party, State agencies, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and public service units.

The total estimated budget for implementation in 2 years is about 237 billion VND, from the provincial budget and targeted additional sources from the central budget according to Decision No. 1353/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

The issuance of the resolution aims to share difficulties with cadres in the initial stages after the merger, contributing to stabilizing the organizational apparatus, ensuring smooth administrative operations and serving the people well. This support does not include social insurance, personal income tax and other financial obligations.

This is considered a timely step, demonstrating the responsibility of Vinh Long province in effectively implementing the major policies of the Central Government on administrative unit arrangement.
