On January 12, Chau Thanh District Police (Long An Province) said they were investigating a traffic accident on Provincial Road 827A that left a 23-year-old man dead on the spot.
According to initial investigation, at around 8:00 p.m. on January 11, the worker shuttle bus with license plate 62B - 012.xx driven by Cao Van Phu (37 years old) was traveling on provincial road 827A.
When reaching the section of Binh Tri 1 hamlet, Thuan My commune, Chau Thanh district (Long An province), it suddenly collided with a vehicle with license plate 62K1-562.xx driven by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Th (23 years old) traveling in the opposite direction.
The strong collision caused Mr. Nguyen Quoc Th to be thrown off the motorbike, fall onto the road, seriously injured, and die on the spot.
At the scene, the motorbike was crushed in the front, many pieces of debris were scattered, the car transporting the workers was also damaged in the front.
According to the camera footage recorded by nearby residents, at the time the motorbike driven by the victim was traveling at a very high speed and crashed straight into the left edge of the passenger bus.
