Falling from a 6 meter drilling tower, a worker died in Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh - While participating in assembling a drilling tower at a height of about 6 meters, Mr. Nguyen Tien D suddenly slipped and fell to the ground, leading to his death.

According to a report from Mining Geology Joint Stock Company - TKV, at about 4:55 p.m. on December 6, 2024, at the NCKC4 borehole of the Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company - TKV quarry, a work accident occurred, killing one worker.

The victim was Nguyen Tien D (born in 1974), residing in Vang Danh ward, Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province. D has a wife and three young children.

Mr. D is a geological drilling machine operator (level 5/5) of Drilling Team 11, Dong Trieu Geological Enterprise, Mining Geology Joint Stock Company - TKV.

According to initial information, while participating in the installation of the drilling tower at the NCKC4 borehole at a height of about 6 meters, Mr. D suddenly slipped and fell to the ground. He was taken to the Cam Pha Regional General Hospital by his colleagues for emergency treatment. However, due to severe injuries, Mr. Nguyen Tien D died at 9:19 p.m. the same day.

Immediately after the incident, authorities were present at the scene to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
