On the afternoon of October 6, the leader of the People's Committee of Con Tien commune, Quang Tri province, said that at about 12:12 on the same day, at Km1063 of Ho Chi Minh road through Truong Hai village, Con Tien commune (Quang Tri province), a serious traffic accident occurred between a tractor-trailer and a car, killing 1 person and injuring 3 others.
According to initial information, at that time, Mr. Ho Van D. (born in 1996, residing in Truong Ninh commune, Quang Tri province) was driving a tractor-trailer with license plate 73F-169.XX, pulling a semi-trailer 73R-002.XX traveling on Ho Chi Minh road in the direction of Ben Quan - Cam Lo. When arriving at the above location, the tractor-trailer collided with a car with license plate 30M-051.XX driven by Mr. Vu H. (born in 1991, residing in Ngoc Ha Ward, Hanoi City).
In the car, there was also Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu H. (born in 1978) sitting in the front seat, Ms. Le Thi H. (born in 1978) sitting in the left back seat and Mr. Duong Duc T. (born in 1986), all residing in Hanoi. The vehicle was moving from T100 Street (in front of the gate of Truong Son Martyrs' Cemetery) through Ho Chi Minh Street towards a restaurant on the side of the road when it collided.
As a result, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu H. died on the spot, the remaining injured people were taken to the emergency room. A quick check showed that driver Ho Van D. had no alcohol concentration in his breath.
The leader of the People's Committee of Con Tien commune said that the car with license plate 30M-051.XX accompanied a group of ministries from Hanoi to Quang Tri to offer incense at the Truong Son Martyrs' Cemetery. When leaving, it unfortunately had an accident.
The cause of the accident is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
