The incident occurred at 4:40 pm on February 14 at km 19+700 provincial road 391 in La Giang village, Chi Minh commune, Hai Phong. Mr. P.T. P (born in 1985) was driving a motorbike carrying his child P.A. T (born in 2009, residing in Thanh Ky village, Chi Minh commune) in the direction of Quy Cao - Tu Ky. At the above location, Mr. P's vehicle collided with a car going in the opposite direction driven by Mr. N.V.H (born in 2004). As a result, Mr. P and child T were injured. The cause of the incident was that the car went into the motorbike's lane, causing a traffic accident.
On the same day, at 12:00 PM at km 4+300 of the North-South main road, Bac An Phu ward, an accident also occurred between a car and an electric bicycle. As a result, the electric bicycle rider was injured. The cause of the incident was that the electric bicycle rider did not comply with traffic lights.
Also according to the City Traffic Safety Committee, from 9:00 AM on February 14th to 9:00 AM on February 15th, the Traffic Police force handled 267 traffic violations, including 74 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 36 cases of speeding and 39 cases of improper parking.
