In the early morning of January 4, on National Highway 34, the section passing through Ca Thanh commune (Cao Bang province), a traffic accident occurred when a tractor-trailer carrying dozens of tons of cassava tubers got muddy and overturned onto the underside of the road.
According to initial information, at about 1:10 am on the same day, the car suddenly slipped its left rear wheel. Due to the narrow road surface, the car gradually sank deep, lost balance and then overturned.
At about 5 am, the car completely overturned into the taluy area, causing a large amount of cassava to spill around. The vehicle was heavily damaged. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape in time, so the incident did not cause any casualties.
It is known that the incident caused traffic congestion on the route from about 1:10 am this morning.

After the incident occurred, functional forces and related units were present at the scene to organize rescue, overcome the consequences and ensure traffic safety on the route.
According to many drivers in the locality, National Highway 34 has long been a major challenge for vehicles, especially heavy trucks. "The road has many slopes and is surrounded, during this time the landslide points have not been completely handled, plus drizzle and slipperiness, this route is very prone to accidents" - driver Dam Van Hoa shared.
