On January 23, a serious traffic accident just occurred in La De commune (Da Nang City), killing 2 people in the area.
According to initial information, at about 9:20 am on the same day, a truck with license plate 77C-144.xx driven by Mr. V..T.T (24 years old, residing in Nam Giang commune, Da Nang City), in the car was Mr. N.T.H (29 years old, residing in Kham Duc commune, Da Nang City). At this time, the truck was carrying a excavator serving the construction of the project.
When traveling through the welcome gate area of Dak Oc village (La De commune), because the excavator's height exceeded the limit, the vehicle collided with the welcome gate, causing this structure to collapse, crushing the truck cabin. The accident killed two people on the vehicle on the spot.
Immediately after the incident occurred, functional forces and local people urgently organized rescue and took the victims out of the cabin.
The initial cause was determined to be due to the driver's lack of observation when driving a vehicle carrying oversized goods. Currently, the case is being investigated and clarified by Da Nang City Police.
The bodies of the victims have been handed over to their families for funeral arrangements; the local authorities have also visited and supported each victim's family with 3 million VND.
