Truck plunges downhill and crashes into house, 6 people die in Nghe An

Nghe An - A truck crashed into a grocery store from a slope, killing 6 people.

On January 13, Mr. Tho Ba Re - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district, Nghe An province, said that a particularly serious traffic accident had just occurred in the district, killing 6 people.

At around 5:00 p.m. on January 12, when many people were present at a grocery store of a resident near Provincial Road 543D passing through Nam Can Commune, Ky Son District, suddenly a small truck purchasing dong leaves from the top of the slope crashed into them.

The accident killed the homeowner's second grade son, grandmother, sister-in-law and three children, including two first graders and one child who had not yet gone to school.

“Five victims died on the spot. The remaining victim was taken to the emergency room but also did not survive,” added Mr. Tho Ba Re.

After the accident, authorities were present to examine the scene. The truck driver was detained for investigation.
