The construction scale with the main content: 4 wharves; 1 breakwater and overnight anchorage area; shore protection embankment; technical infrastructure, auxiliary works... Project implementation period is from 2019 - 2025.
Up to now, construction package No. 1.1A including the Passenger Wharf and traffic infrastructure items, electricity and water has reached 97% of the contract value. The construction volume has completed the road system, traffic areas in the port; technical infrastructure of the port area. The volume of implementation has completed 2 high-speed ferry terminals, 345m high-speed passenger terminal, and 93m regular passenger terminal.
Through a recent survey and field inspection, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung suggested that the Management Board of Construction - Transport Investment Projects focus on completing the remaining items. In the immediate future, the Department of Construction is assigned to consider announcing the Port for operation in October 2025.

Rach Gia Passenger Port is a passenger port that combines port logistics services, Rach Gia urban service and commercial area and surrounding areas. The largest ship size is capable of docking high-speed passenger ships, high-speed ferries, regular passenger ships and other vehicles such as canoes, yachts, etc.
