Dak Lak - Functional agencies have completed dossiers to sanction a accommodation establishment in the area after being accused by tourists of overcharging and charging high fees during the holidays.

On May 5, the People's Committee of Song Cau ward (Dak Lak province) informed that the unit is completing the dossier to sanction administrative violations against accommodation establishment T (Vinh Hoa residential group) with a fine of 1.5 million VND for not listing service prices according to regulations.

According to Song Cau Ward People's Committee, functional agencies determined that this establishment only listed the price of bottled beer at 30,000 VND/bottle, not listed the price of canned beer and other service fees.

The establishment buying goods from outside (such as beer), then writing them on temporary invoices at a self-agreed price is a violation of current regulations.

Previously, an article appeared on social networks by a tourist sharing about "bad experiences" (during the April 30th and May 1st holidays) when using services at accommodation T in Song Cau ward with relatives.

In the post, tourists appreciated the beach landscape in the area but said that the accommodation facility's service had many shortcomings, especially the collection of fees that were considered "sky-high". Attached to it was a detailed invoice for services used during the holidays.

Although customers bought food themselves to cook, the establishment still charged a service fee for 3 meals with a total amount of 5.2 million VND; beer price was calculated at 900,000 VND/barrel; coal stove 200,000 VND... The total cost that the group of tourists paid during the stay from the evening of April 29 to the morning of May 1 was more than 14.3 million VND.
