On February 23, Ea Kao Ward Police (Dak Lak province) said that the unit is verifying a scuffle that occurred due to scrambling for seats at a coffee shop in the area.
The incident happened on February 20 (4th day of Tet) at Z cafe, in Ea Kao ward, between a family and a group of young girls.
Ms. H.S. (27 years old, residing in Ea Knuec commune) said that after being beaten at a coffee shop, she and her 15-year-old younger sister had to be hospitalized for treatment. Currently, she has been discharged from the hospital, but her younger sister is still panicked and has a headache, so she continues to stay at the hospital for monitoring.
According to Ms. H.S, on the afternoon of the 4th day of Tet, she went with her younger sister and two friends to a coffee shop in Ea Kao ward to have fun. After that, her younger sister went to the restroom, and the two friends left their bags on a chair and went to the shop's premises to take pictures.
At this time, a family of three people (two adults and one young woman) came to the shop and took a chair from Ms. H.S's group. Ms. H.S exchanged that the chair was already occupied, from then on, the two sides exchanged words.
They cursed very fiercely and then rushed in and beat us in front of many customers in the shop. After being beaten, I went to the police station to report and hope that the authorities will handle the case in accordance with the law," Ms. H.S said.
Currently, the case is being further verified by functional agencies to clarify the above-mentioned scuffle.
