On the afternoon of July 16, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Bui Nhu Thinh - Vice Chairman of Dinh Trang Thuong Commune People's Committee - said that after receiving information related to the illegal stone mining incident that occurred in village 10 (old Tan Lam commune, now in Dinh Trang Thuong commune), the leaders of the commune People's Committee were present to directly inspect the scene.
The Commune Police Social Committee coordinates with relevant agencies to inspect, verify and clarify related violations to strictly handle them according to the provisions of law. The view of the commune leaders is to handle the violation thoroughly.
According to Mr. Thinh, up to now, local authorities have drawn up a record of the incident and requested violators to stop all stone mining activities here. At the same time, the authorities have identified the violator related to the above stone mining tunnel as Mr. Nguyen Van Thang (Hoa Ninh commune, Lam Dong province).
According to the record of the incident, at the time of inspection, there were more than 3,200 finished rockets cracked at the scene. Mr. Thang admitted that he hired people to exploit the above stone from July 12-15.

Working with the authorities, Mr. Thang could not present documents related to stone mining activities licensed by the competent authorities.
At the time the authorities were present to inspect, there was a dump truck at the scene to pick up rocks. When the authorities were discovered, the dump truck turned around and 6 people were carrying out the act of mining (petrifying).
About 200 meters from this stone mine, there is still an inactivated excavator. There are still many orphan-shaped rocks at the scene (specific statistics cannot be made).
"Currently, the Commune Police and relevant agencies are focusing on clarifying related violations at this stone mining tunnel. After making specific statistics on the number of finished stone, area of violation and other related violations, the Commune People's Committee will make a record of administrative violations or transfer it to the competent authority for handling according to the provisions of law" - Mr. Bui Nhu Thinh added.
From the people's reflection, on July 15, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper recorded illegal stone mining activities taking place publicly in Dinh Trang Thuong commune (Lam Dong).
At the scene, the subjects used excavators to dig an area of thousands of square meters in the coffee plantation to exploit orphaned stone and transport it by many dump trucks. In addition to the main mining site, there is a smaller cracks mining area nearby.
The owner of the land was identified as Mr. T, a local construction materials trader. This person cooperated with groups specializing in stone making to organize the exploitation, processing and consumption of finished stone.
After receiving the information, the People's Committee of Dinh Trang Thuong commune said that it had directed the authorities to inspect and handle the matter. Previously, the commune government also requested to review and strictly manage the land and mineral sector after completing the merger of administrative units.
Regarding illegal stone mining, Lao Dong Newspaper also reported similar activities in Bao Lam 2 commune, where a large stone tunnel located in a coffee plantation still blatantly exists. The People's Committee of Bao Lam 2 commune also assigned the commune police to investigate and clarify the incident.
