Environmental pollution problem in Phu Hai Seafood Processing Industrial Cluster, Phan Thiet city, especially the stench has lasted for many years.
Up to now, this situation still exists and has not been completely resolved, causing people to still report. The stench arises from seafood processing activities, the operation of fish flour processing facilities, ... for a long time.

According to records in the area, there are fish flour processing factories that have closed and stopped production, and there are factories that are still open, but do not produce because there are no raw materials.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Binh Thuan province said that it has recently supervised environmental protection work at Phu Hai Seafood Processing Industrial Cluster. For the area inside and outside this industrial cluster, through monitoring, there are still many types of waste that have not been collected.

The situation of fish water leaking and flowing onto the road from fish transport vehicles gathered on some internal routes in the industrial cluster. The sewers collect and drain wastewater, generating foul odors, spreading into the surrounding environment.
To ensure environmental protection inside and outside the industrial cluster, the Department of Agriculture and Environment recommends that the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city, the unit managing and exploiting the infrastructure, implement environmental protection at the Phu Hai Seafood Processing Industrial Cluster.

According to records at Phu Hai Seafood Processing Industrial Cluster, there are households that dry seafood and process anchovies, causing a foul smell in the environment. Previously, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province has repeatedly directed localities, departments and branches to overcome environmental pollution in this industrial cluster.
