On August 3, Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) said that during the peak period of general control of transport business vehicles, it discovered an inter-provincial bus driver testing positive for drugs while driving a vehicle and proceeded with handling.
Previously, on August 2, driver P.V.T (born in 1983) was driving a passenger car with license plate 43H-07x.xx belonging to bus company T.Q.D, running on the fixed route Quang Tri - Vung Tau. While traveling on National Highway 55, through Ho Tram Commune (HCMC), the vehicle was stopped by the authorities for inspection, and at that time the vehicle was carrying about 10 passengers.
Through a quick test, the authorities determined that driver T tested positive for drugs. This person confessed to using pink meth at his home before driving the vehicle.
Therefore, Traffic Police Team No. 2 drew up a record of administrative violations, temporarily detained the vehicle and handed over the subject and the case file to Ho Tram Commune Police for handling according to the provisions of law.
The timely detection of the above case is a testament to the determination of the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police force in tightening control and preventing the risk of traffic accidents caused by users of stimulants, especially on inter-provincial passenger transport routes.
