These days, taking advantage of the sunny and favorable weather, Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company is speeding up the construction of the rest stop project at Km534+310 of Ham Nghi - Vung Ang Expressway in Cam Hung Commune.
The construction is focused on leveling the ground, building internal roads, fuel stations, water tanks, planting trees...
The rest stop at Km534+310 of Ham Nghi - Vung Ang Expressway has an area of 10 hectares (5 hectares on each side), and will be implemented from April 2025.
Mr. Dinh Van Bay - representative of Xuan Khiem Group - said that the project has completed about 35% of the construction volume, meeting the set plan.
Recently, the construction has encountered many difficulties in terms of soil filling materials, heavy rain, and unfavorable traffic routes.
According to Mr. Bay, regarding the progress of the contract, the rest stop at Km534+310 of Ham Nghi - Vung Ang Expressway will be completed in June 2026. However, to serve the needs of drivers when traveling on the expressway, the unit will temporarily put the rest stop into operation from September 2.
This temporary rest stop is available in both directions, basically meeting the needs of drivers when there is a gas station, dining area, toilet and parking lot that can accommodate a maximum of 80 - 100 vehicles at the same time.
The unit also strives to ensure the construction progress of the entire rest stop project at Km534+310 of Ham Nghi - Vung Ang Expressway to be completed and put into operation in accordance with the contract signed with the Vietnam Road Administration.
Along with the rest stop in Cam Hung commune, currently, the rest stop in Duc Quang commune with an area of 6 hectares (3 hectares on each side) won the bid by the consortium of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) - Thua Thien Hue Petroleum Company is also under construction.
The North-South expressway project in the East passing through Ha Tinh has a total length of more than 107 km with 4 component projects in 2 phases 2017 - 2020 (Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway) and phase 2021 - 2025 ( Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang and Vung Ang - Bung expressways).
Currently, 3 sections of the expressway have been put into operation, while the Vung Ang - Bung section is expected to be put into operation on August 19.
On the expressway through Ha Tinh, there are 2 rest stops located at Km478+200 Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway in Duc Quang commune and Km534+310 Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway in Cam Hung commune.
