On January 2, information from the Traffic Police Department (Cao Bang Provincial Police) said that during the 2 days off for the New Year holiday (January 1–2, 2026), the Traffic Police force (CSGT) organized 54 patrol and control shifts with 248 turns of officers and soldiers participating.
Through inspection, functional forces made administrative violation records for 200 violations, estimating the total fine amount of over 624 million VND; temporarily seized 89 vehicles of all kinds; revoked driver's licenses in 1 case, and deducted points from driver's licenses in 29 cases.
The main violations include: not wearing a helmet when driving a motorbike (25 cases), not having a driver's license (32 cases), carrying oversized goods (2 cases); handling 1 case of vehicle owners handing over oversized goods; making records of 29 cases of underage students driving vehicles and handing over vehicles to unqualified people; along with 191 other violations.
In addition, the traffic police force discovered and handled 55 cases of alcohol concentration violations, with a total estimated fine of over 245 million VND; handled 21 cases of speeding violations, estimated fines of over 30.4 million VND. During the above period, no traffic accidents occurred in the whole province.
In the coming time, the traffic police force will continue to strengthen patrols, inspections, and strictly handle violations of the Road Traffic Law, and at the same time promote propaganda to ensure traffic safety and order in the area.
