On August 12, news from Nha Trang Ward People's Committee said that it had issued a decision to sanction administrative violations of 6 million VND against Mr. H.V.B - legal representative of Thanh Suong Fresh Seafood Business Household (address at 100-102 Tran Phu street), and at the same time forced the establishment to urgently remedy the violations.
Previously, on July 17, an inter-sectoral inspection team conducted a surprise inspection of this business establishment.
At the time of inspection, functional forces discovered that the kitchen area, preliminary processing, processing and washing of food were not hygienic; recorded flies and insects directly entering the processing area.
In addition, people directly processing food at the restaurant do not wear gloves or masks; the kitchen layout does not ensure the principle of preventing cross-contamination between raw and cooked foods.
The facility has also not installed a specialized equipment system to collect, remove and treat odors in the kitchen area according to regulations.
Notably, address 100-102 Tran Phu street has been administratively sanctioned many times by local authorities for continuous violations in business operations and food safety.
This establishment also named the signboard "Thanh Suong" - similar to a famous seafood brand in Nha Trang, causing confusion for many people and tourists.
Previously in 2024, Nha Trang City People's Committee also issued a decision to fine this business household nearly 21 million VND for 3 violations: Not fully recording information on the sign according to the Business Registration Certificate (the sign reads "Thanh Suong" but legally it is "Thanh Suong"); Unclear price listing causing confusion for customers and food service business when the Certificate of eligibility for food safety has expired.
