On February 3, Phu An Ward Police, Ho Chi Minh City, said that functional agencies had made a record to fine the garbage truck driver for discharging wastewater onto the road causing stench.
Previously, on January 31, people (in Hiep An 3 neighborhood, Phu An ward, Ho Chi Minh City) reflected that a garbage collection truck in the process of moving on DX85 road continuously discharged wastewater onto the road surface. This behavior not only causes a strong stench but also potentially causes slipperiness for vehicles participating in traffic.
Immediately after receiving the information, leaders of Phu An Ward People's Committee quickly mobilized tanker trucks to spray and clean the DX85 road to ensure people's lives. At the same time, directed the Ward Police to urgently verify the violators.
Phu An Ward Police have identified the violating vehicle and transferred it to the Northwest Traffic Police Station (under the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) for coordination in handling.

Functional agencies invited representatives of the managing unit and the driver of the vehicle to the headquarters to work. Here, the driver named T admitted his violation. Driver T presented that during the operation of the vehicle, the leachate tank cap encountered an incident and burst out, leading to water overflowing on the road.
The unit under the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police made a record of handling the act of transporting goods or waste causing water to flow down the road surface, causing traffic unsafety. This act has a fine of 2 to 4 million VND specified in point a, clause 2, article 17 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP.
