The riverbanks and mountain slopes are covered with a thin layer of golden sunlight, making the cornfields and mulberry fields sparkle. Everywhere, people are bustling with joy and the sound of people working in the fields. The Central region is peaceful because there have been no storms or major floods this past year. However, greater joy is promised in the Spring of At Ty.
2025 can be said to be an important turning point for the Central and Central Highlands regions, when efforts to invest in transport infrastructure and in-depth economic development are gradually bringing clear results.
Transportation - one of the key factors promoting development has been cleared by the simultaneous construction of many projects across the Central and Central Highlands regions. North - South will no longer be far away. The Central Highlands connects to the sea in just the morning and afternoon. A synchronous transportation network is gradually taking shape, changing every day.
For over a year, the entire Central and Central Highlands region has been like a sprawling mega-project. But from 2025 to 2030, the transport infrastructure picture of this region will be spectacular, beautiful roads, crossing majestic mountains, forests and seas with modern lines. But more importantly, these transport projects will create a strong connection system, shorten geographical distances and promote deep economic integration for the entire region.
For the Central Highlands, the Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa Expressway has opened a new era when it was formed. Although it is only the first meters of asphalt road, it feels like Buon Ma Thuot has reached out and touched the ocean. Other key expressway projects are also being promoted, including Khanh Hoa - Da Lat; Ho Chi Minh City - Lam Dong - Dak Nong; Binh Dinh - Gia Lai... These vital routes will soon connect the Central Highlands with major economic centers. This will not only facilitate the transportation of goods and attract investment, but also promote tourism development. The Central Highlands - a land rich in potential, will have easy access to domestic and international markets.
In 2024, Central Highlands agriculture will also be a bright spot with a growth rate of about 5% and an export turnover of about 7 billion USD. Items such as durian, macadamia, coffee, pepper, etc. will not only have a good harvest but also good prices, bringing stable income to people. The export of agricultural products to demanding markets such as Europe, the US, and Japan has raised the level of Vietnamese agricultural products. In particular, the licensing of frozen durian for export to the Chinese market opens up a huge opportunity, promising to bring large and sustainable income to local people and businesses.
The Central region, with its tourism advantages, is preparing to welcome a new wave of development. When the transportation system is completed, it will help shorten travel time and attract more tourists. In particular, Da Nang, with its role as an economic locomotive, is shifting investment to high-tech fields such as microchip design, semiconductors and artificial intelligence. In particular, prioritizing the training of high-quality human resources will contribute to promoting digital transformation and creating a solid foundation for green, sustainable development.
The recent innovation in leadership in many localities in the Central region also brings hope for dynamism and daring to think and act. Breakthrough policies, such as the establishment of a regional financial center and a free trade zone in Da Nang, will create a favorable business environment, attract foreign investment and promote economic growth.
Another peaceful spring is coming, but the seasons change quickly, the days and months pass very quickly... The thinking and actions of each person and each locality also need to be quick to adapt to the digital age. To achieve the goal of sustainable development, the Central and Central Highlands regions need to continue to promote institutional innovation, remove obstacles, invest in developing high-quality human resources, and focus on breakthrough areas such as science and technology and artificial intelligence. With systematic and strategic investment, the Central and Central Highlands regions will maximize their potential and become an important driving force for the socio-economic development of the whole country.
