Overseas Vietnamese "Spring Homeland 2025" connects localities in Hung Yen

Within the framework of the Homeland Spring 2025 program, on the afternoon of January 18, a delegation of outstanding overseas Vietnamese participated in a local connection program in Hung Yen province.

According to the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, speaking at the working session with the delegation, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Le Huy affirmed, "the potential, development opportunities and investment attraction of Hung Yen province are very large".

Mr. Nguyen Le Huy said that there are currently more than 8,000 Hung Yen people living, studying and working in 33 countries and territories around the world. The Hung Yen community abroad always abides by the laws of the host country, looks towards the homeland and country, actively participates in humanitarian and charitable activities, supports the homeland in building new rural areas, schools, kindergartens, cultural institutions... contributing to enhancing the position and image of the province, serving the goal of building and developing the province's economy and society.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee affirmed that he would create the best conditions for overseas Vietnamese to stay close to their homeland; at the same time, he encouraged overseas Vietnamese to continue to maintain the traditions and culture of the nation.

Introducing some information about the representative overseas Vietnamese delegation attending the Homeland Spring Program 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Le Thi Thu Hang said that the overseas Vietnamese are prominent figures in many fields of politics, economics, culture; leaders of associations; experts, and Vietnamese intellectuals abroad.

The Deputy Minister shared that the priority of the work on overseas Vietnamese is to care for our community to develop more and more strongly, while maximizing the intellectual and financial resources of overseas Vietnamese in the cause of national development, especially in the context that our country is facing enormous opportunities to enter a new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang expressed her impression of the results of Hung Yen's foreign affairs in recent years, including work on overseas Vietnamese, and highly appreciated the province's organization of many activities to promote all-round exchanges with overseas Vietnamese to promote the spirit of solidarity, creating a favorable environment for overseas Vietnamese organizations and individuals to contribute to the homeland and the country. Thanks to that, Hung Yen is one of the leading provinces in establishing close and extensive relationships with overseas Vietnamese associations, such as the Hung Yen provincial association in the Czech Republic, Russia, Germany, etc.

The Deputy Minister hopes that in the coming time, Hung Yen province will continue to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese to promote the implementation of work for overseas Vietnamese, especially to exchange and find new ways to continuously improve work efficiency, better meet the expectations and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese in the new development context.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang also expressed her hope that after the meeting, overseas Vietnamese and agencies and businesses in Hung Yen province will continue to discuss the potential and investment and business opportunities in the locality. Outstanding overseas Vietnamese delegates, with their talent, enthusiasm and love for their homeland, will continue to make more contributions to the development of the country in general and Hung Yen province in particular, with specific ideas and proposals for Hung Yen province. At the same time, overseas Vietnamese will be a bridge to actively spread the cultural beauty and development potential of Hung Yen to our overseas community, connecting the community with the province in suitable projects.

At the meeting, overseas Vietnamese representatives shared their impressions of the strong development of Hung Yen province in recent years; at the same time, they proposed a number of cooperation and investment opportunities in industrial parks, clusters, small-scale industry, agriculture... in Hung Yen province.
