Around 22:00, at Km7+400, Huu Nghi - Chi Lang Expressway, section passing Cao Loc district, the construction scene appeared as a great construction site.
The cars are flattened with red roads, bulldozers, and excavators without rest. Each group of workers wearing reflective shirts moved quickly, coordinated smoothly between the car horn, the voice of the mouth and the light of the light.

In another corner, the row of murmur trucks carrying materials in and out continuously, each layer of roads is covered up every hour. Although the mountain breeze blows, the hands are still clenched in control, eyes do not leave the ground.
Wiping the dust on his face, Mr. Nguyen Minh Binh, a worker who drove a switcher, shared: "I used to get used to the night, a little hard but effective. In this peak period, our brothers accepted hard work, accepted the ceremony and New Year to ensure the construction progress".
According to the project from the early days of the bucket of excavators, touching the border area, Mr. Binh said, there were cold rainy nights, wading red soil to the ankles, workers still work hard.
"There is a hard work, but everyone encourages each other to try, just hope the route will soon be completed" - the worker said.

Huu Nghi - Chi Lang Expressway project has a total length of nearly 60km, connecting Huu Nghi border gate with Bac Giang - Lang Son highway, playing a strategic role in trade connection between Vietnam and China.

The total investment in the divergence phase is more than VND 11,000 billion, made in the form of BOT with the expectation of completing the route in 2025.
As of April 2025, according to the report of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the whole project has been handed over about 95% of the ground. Project enterprises and contractors have implemented 55 constructions in 4 main packages.
However, the construction value is only about 10.5% of the total value of construction contracts.

The reason for the slow progress is determined by the handover of the site clearance boundaries is limited, along with the construction drawing design application that is not completed on the whole route. In that context, the night construction is considered a key solution to offset the slow volume.
"Do 3 continuous shifts, organize the crew on all segments with clean ground. Challenge is big but if not drastic, difficult to ensure the goal of the route this year," said Mr. Tran Van Chuan - Deputy Director of the Huu Nghi Expressway Project Management Board - Chi Lang shared.
Facing the pressure of progress, Lang Son province has asked the project to rebuild the master plan, mobilize additional equipment and human resources and accelerate the completion of technical records. The provincial leaders also continuously checked the scene, closely directed to ensure the goal of the destination on time.

"Currently, the material mines are ready, the landing ground is arranged enough, there is no scarcity or the congestion of the supply chain.
On the construction site, the units are rushing to construct the roadside, drainage items and handling of weak ground at key sections such as Km1+800 - Km14+500 and Km30+087 - Km45+130 ", representatives of Huu Nghi - Chi Lang Expressway Management Board.
