Through the traffic surveillance camera system, Cao Bang Provincial Police discovered 30 cases of traffic safety violations from August 26 to September 10.
Among them, there are many cars with license plates from distant provinces such as Hanoi, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc: 98A-042.98; 30E-404.66; 88A-599.67... Regarding violations, there are 25 cases of driving cars exceeding the prescribed speed limit; 5 cases of driving cars not obeying traffic light signals.
Cao Bang Provincial Police also issued information requesting violators to come to the headquarters of the Traffic Police Department of Cao Bang Provincial Police (Group 5, Song Hien Ward) or the headquarters of Cao Bang City Police (No. 004 Hoang Nhu Street, Hop Giang Ward) to resolve according to regulations.
If the violator does not come to resolve the matter, the Provincial Police will coordinate with the local authorities where the vehicle owner resides, studies, works or has headquarters to handle the matter.
Within 20 days, information about violations will be posted on the Traffic Police Department's website, updating the warning status to the Registration Authority (for vehicles that must be inspected) for handling.
Fine for running red light with car
According to Point a, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP (amended and supplemented by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP), car drivers who run red lights will be administratively fined from 4,000,000 - 6,000,000 VND.
In addition to the fine, the driver who commits the violation will also be subject to an additional penalty of having his/her driving license revoked for 1-3 months (Point b, Clause 11, Article 5). In case of failure to comply with traffic signals and causing an accident, the driving license will be revoked for 2-4 months.
Fines for speeding cars:
Fine from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND for drivers exceeding the prescribed speed from 5km/h to under 10km/h (Point a, Clause 3, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
Fine from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000 for drivers exceeding the prescribed speed limit from 10km/h to 20km/h (Point i, Clause 5, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP amended at Point d, Clause 34, Article 2, Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).
In addition, the driver who commits the violation will also have his/her driving license revoked for 1 to 3 months (Point b, Clause 11, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP);
Fine from 6,000,000 VND to 8,000,000 VND for drivers exceeding the prescribed speed by more than 20km/h to 35km/h (Point a, Clause 6, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
In addition, the driver who commits the violation will also have his/her driving license revoked for 2 to 4 months (Point c, Clause 11, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
Fine from 10,000,000 VND to 12,000,000 VND for drivers driving at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 35km/h (Point c, Clause 7, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
In addition, the driver who commits the violation will also have his/her driving license revoked for 2 to 4 months (Point c, Clause 11, Article 5, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
