On March 10, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that from March 1 to March 10, the unit has strengthened patrols, inspections and handled violations of traffic safety and order at intersections between roads and railways in the province.
Accordingly, the traffic police force organizes many mobile patrol teams, combined with establishing checkpoints at level crossings with high traffic density and people's level crossings that pose a risk of traffic unsafety on the North-South railway line passing through the province.
After 10 days of implementation, functional forces have inspected, discovered and made records of handling 83 violations, with a total fine of more than 50 million VND.
The main violations include: driving vehicles across level crossings when the red light has been turned on, overtaking when the barrier has been completely lowered, stopping or parking vehicles within the safe railway area.
In addition to handling violations, the traffic police force also combines propaganda and reminders to traffic participants to strictly comply with regulations when crossing railway crossings.
At the same time, coordinate with railway management units to inspect the operation of checkpoints, reminding railway guards to follow the correct procedures to ensure railway traffic safety.
The Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that in the coming time, it will continue to strengthen patrols and controls at railway level crossings; resolutely strictly handle violations to prevent traffic accidents and ensure safety for people when participating in traffic.
