The Vietnam Road Administration said that, implementing the provisions of law on toll collection for using expressways for vehicles traveling on expressways owned by the entire people and directly managed and exploited by the State, the Vietnam Road Administration has organized toll collection for using expressways for expressways belonging to the North-South Expressway Project in the East phase 2017 - 2020, including 05 sections: Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay from 10 PM on March 2.
In the initial operation phase, from 10 pm on March 2 to 8:30 am on March 3, the non-stop electronic toll collection system on the entire route was operated synchronously, basically ensuring stability and smoothness, and more than 10,000 transactions were carried out.
There were some transactions lacking input information that were recorded by toll collectors to create offline transactions according to the correct procedure for handling unusual transactions.
During operation, some technical situations arose and were promptly handled by relevant units in coordination, without affecting people's traffic.
To ensure the safe, smooth and effective operation of expressway toll collection, the Vietnam Road Administration requests vehicle owners to proactively stick end-to-end tags, maintain sufficient balance in non-cash payment accounts when traveling through expressways; absolutely comply with the road sign system, instructions from functional forces at the toll station area; and strictly comply with regulations on vehicle load.
