Ca Mau voters reflect: The construction process of the North-South expressway through Ca Mau province has been and is affecting the lives, activities and production activities of people in the project area.
Voters propose to the Ministry of Construction:
Consider investing in supplementing the system of people's roads connecting to National Highway 63, creating favorable conditions for people's travel.
Arrange the construction of people's overpasses across the expressway at necessary locations, especially in areas where people have houses on one side and production land on the other side of the route, to ensure safety in travel and production.
After studying, the Ministry of Construction would like to answer as follows:
The component project of the Can Tho - Hau Giang section and the Hau Giang - Ca Mau section (Project) belonging to the North - South Expressway Project in the East is directed by the Ministry of Construction to the investor and units to make efforts to deploy construction and put into operation the main route of the Can Tho - Hau Giang section on December 22, 2025, the Hau Giang - Ca Mau section on January 19, 2026, contributing to completing 3,000 km of expressway according to the direction of the Prime Minister, promoting investment efficiency; continuing to deploy the construction of intersection systems, connecting routes, service roads,...
To ensure that the investment and construction of the expressway does not affect the daily life and production activities of people and businesses, right from the time of preparing the design dossier, the Ministry of Construction (formerly the Ministry of Transport) directed the investor and design consultant to study and build a system of people's service roads, water ditches, and people's underpasses and agree with the local authorities.
During the construction deployment process, based on local proposals, My Thuan Project Management Board (the project investor) coordinated with relevant departments, agencies, and sectors of the locality to review and supplement necessary items (gathering roads, water ditches, underpasses).
Regarding voters' recommendations, the Ministry of Construction has directed the investor to continue to review and assess the necessity to consider supplementing (if necessary), ensuring that when putting the expressway into operation, it does not affect the daily life and production and farming activities of the people.
According to the report of the My Thuan Project Management Board, departments, branches, and local authorities at all levels have coordinated to review to summarize and report to the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee on items to be added to the Project; after the Provincial People's Committee has opinions, the My Thuan Project Management Board will deploy procedures to implement them as soon as possible.
