According to the Vietnam Road Administration, implementing the provisions of law on toll collection for using expressways for vehicles circulating on expressways owned by the entire population, represented by the State as the owner and directly managed and exploited.
The Vietnam Road Administration informs about the organization of highway toll collection for expressway routes under the North-South Expressway Project in the East phase 2017 - 2020, including 5 sections: Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay.
The toll collection starts from 10 PM on March 2, 2026.
Toll rates: Applied to the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay section toll rates from 1,300 - 1,950 - 2,600 - 3,250 - 5,200 (VND/km); Applied to the Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet sections toll rates from 900 - 1,350 - 1,800 - 2,250 - 3,600 (VND/km).
Toll collection method: According to the non-stop electronic method (ETC) according to the toll collection model "free multi-lane ETC input (no barrier), single-lane ETC output (with barrier), no MTC lane".
The organization of toll collection for expressway use by the State representing the owner and directly managing and operating is synchronously connected to expressway sections operated by other units: VEC, Investors, BOT Enterprises, so in the initial operation phase, the KPI index assessment of the entire system will be carried out to check and overcome arising technical errors. The Vietnam Road Administration has established a 24/7 on-duty task force to handle arising situations.
At the same time, to contribute to ensuring safe and smooth toll collection operation, the Vietnam Road Administration requests vehicle owners:
Ensure the affixing of terminal cards on vehicles and non-cash payment vehicles with sufficient balances when traveling through the above-mentioned highways.
Absolutely comply with the road sign system and instructions from functional forces when passing through the toll station.
Absolutely comply with vehicle load, at highway entrances, automatic vehicle weighing systems have been installed. Overloaded vehicles will be warned by the system and denied entry to the highway.
