On March 3, Road Management Zone III (Ministry of Construction) announced the contractor selection results for 2 bidding packages for management, operation, and maintenance of expressway infrastructure, with a total winning bid value of over 175 billion VND.
Specifically, in Package No. 01 for management and maintenance of highway traffic infrastructure on the Chi Thanh - Van Phong section, the Joint Venture of Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company and Phu Yen Road Management and Repair Joint Stock Company won the bid with a price of 58.238 billion VND (package price 58.838 billion VND).
For Package No. 01 for management, operation, and maintenance of road infrastructure of the North - South expressway in the East, Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section (Km0+00 - Km88), the joint venture of Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company and Binh Dinh Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company won the bid with a price of 116.929 billion VND (estimated price of 117.652 billion VND).
Both bidding packages have a contract implementation period of 16 months, in the form of fixed unit prices and payment based on output results.
Contractors have completed preparations for manpower, machinery, technical equipment; developed operating plans; organized traffic control and rescue drills on the entire route to ensure safety and smooth operation when put into operation.
According to Project Management Board 2 (Ministry of Construction), the component project of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway (Gia Lai) has a length of 88km, of which the section through Quang Ngai province is 60.3km long.
The project started on January 1, 2023. By December 19, 2025, the route has been technically opened to traffic and completed fire prevention and fighting acceptance procedures for tunnels on the route. The locations that need to adjust the design and supplement site clearance have been zoned and have handling plans to ensure operational safety.
