On December 12, Da Nang City Police said that currently, a number of groups, groups, and accounts on social networks are spreading information about the AI surveillance camera system at some intersections in the area officially operating from December 13.
Da Nang City Police confirmed that the above information is inaccurate, and at the same time advised people not to spread or share unverified content to avoid causing public confusion.
According to Da Nang City Police, in recent times, the unit has invested, built and put into operation a camera system to monitor security, order, traffic safety and urban order. This system, especially cameras integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) application smart software, has been highly effective in proactively detecting, recording and promptly handling many violations. Thereby, contributing to raising people's awareness, preventing and reducing traffic accidents.
Regarding future plans, the City Police will continue to invest in and expand coverage of smart surveillance camera systems, applying AI to be more proactive in detecting and handling violations related to traffic order and safety.
