Regarding the fine for speeding for cars, according to Decree 168/2024, if they exceed the speed by 5 to under 10 km/h, they will be fined from 800,000-1 million VND; speeding by 10-20 km/h will be fined from 4-6 million VND and have their driving license deducted by 2 points; speeding by 20-35 km/h will be fined from 6 to 8 million VND and have their driving license deducted by 4 points; speeding by over 35 km/h will be fined from 12 to 14 million VND and have their driving license deducted by 6 points.
For motorbikes, Article 7 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulates: Exceeding speed by 5 - under 10 km/h will be fined from 400,000 - 600,000 VND; Exceeding speed by 10 - 20 km/h will be fined from 800,000 - 1 million VND; Exceeding speed by more than 20 km/h will be fined from 6-8 million VND.
