Bac Ninh province has just held a meeting to review the progress of investment and construction of a number of university projects in the area south of Cau River, Bac Ninh province.
In particular, the Hanoi Medical University facility construction project in Bac Ninh is an important project, included in the Project "Developing Hanoi Medical University into a national key higher education institution in the leading group in Asia" approved by the Prime Minister.
According to the latest report, the school is currently actively urgently implementing investment preparation steps according to regulations.
The Ministry of Health has compiled the Project into the list of key projects and sent it to the Ministry of Finance to report to competent authorities to arrange capital for implementation.
Previously, the People's Council of Bac Ninh province issued a Resolution determining the expected support for the Hanoi Medical University Facilities Construction Investment Project in Bac Ninh with an expected support capital of VND 250 billion to make payments for the following items: Site clearance, site leveling, fence construction, technical infrastructure... Support period in 2025 and the period of 2026 - 2030.
Therefore, Hanoi Medical University hopes that Bac Ninh province will soon organize the implementation of support for project items according to regulations.
Regarding the proposal of Hanoi Medical University, Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi assigned the Department of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to guide the school in implementing project investment procedures; advise on balancing and arranging provincial budget capital for support immediately after ensuring legal conditions according to regulations.
Previously, the Hanoi Medical University Building Project in Bac Ninh province was introduced by the Provincial People's Committee with an area of about 30 hectares, belonging to the Bac Ninh Science and Technology Application Research Training Area (in the old Tien Du district).
The project aims to develop a medical human resource of sufficient quantity and quality, which is the premise for Hanoi Medical University to become a National Key University educational institution in the leading group in Asia.
The scale of the project includes: Construction of training areas, hospitals and research institutes for applied high-tech medicine with a total estimated investment of VND 3,150 billion.
In the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Ninh will form university urban areas to attract higher education institutions from Hanoi Capital to move to or build branches in the province.
This locality aims to become one of the leading training, research and development centers of the country.
