DC2 Mercury is most famous for creating India's first supercar (DC Avanti) as well as many custom-designed cars. Designer Dilip Chhabria has brought many years of his experience to this project.
The Goldmedal has an aerodynamic body with a large glass area completely covered with the front and wheels. The car's shape is a combination of a high-speed train and an air personality, although it is based on the chassis of a regular bus. According to many sources, it is very likely that this model will use a transitional transmission system.
The exterior is decorated with bright red accents and the Goldmedal brand. The body of the vehicle uses composite materials from the aviation industry. Headlights and LED taillights are also custom-made, with taillights surrounded by a large screen.
According to the company, when parked, the car can be transformed thanks to 3 hydraulic extensions (2 on both sides and 1 on the rear). Unlike traditional camping cars, Goldmedal buses use the body space to expand the exhibition floor, providing more space to display their products.
Goldmedal Electricals said that the unit has invested about 2 million USD (more than 50 billion VND) in the vehicle development process. The company is relying on recovering this investment through the promotion process, starting with its first debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo Exhibition. After that, this bus model will depart for a national tour.
