Hoa Binh fines motorbikes for speeding up to 97 km/h

According to Hoa Binh traffic police, many motorbikes running on Ho Chi Minh route were fined for speeding.

Accordingly, on September 25 to 26, traffic police recorded many motorbikes speeding on Ho Chi Minh road, some vehicles going up to 97 km/h.

Hoa Binh Province Traffic Police added that statistics on traffic accidents occurring on Ho Chi Minh Road show that most of them involved motorbikes and scooters.

Hoa Binh Province Traffic Police have increased the handling of violations of this type of vehicle, and at the same time, advised people to drive at the correct speed, especially not to overtake illegally, encroach on lanes, cross lines, and pay attention when driving these types of vehicles.

Fines for speeding on motorbikes:

A fine of VND 300,000 to VND 400,000 shall be imposed on drivers exceeding the prescribed speed limit by 5 km/h to less than 10 km/h (Point c, Clause 2, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP (amended at Point k, Clause 34, Article 2, Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).

Fine from VND 800,000 to VND 1,000,000 for drivers exceeding the prescribed speed by 10 km/h to 20 km/h (Point a, Clause 4, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP (amended at Point g, Clause 34, Article 2, Decree 123/2021/ND-CP).

Fine from 4,000,000 VND to 5,000,000 VND for drivers driving over the prescribed speed limit by more than 20 km/h (Point a, Clause 7, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

In addition, the driver who commits the violation will also have his/her driving license revoked for 02 to 04 months (Point c, Clause 10, Article 6, Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).

People should note that when paying the fine for motorbikes, people need to prepare the following documents: Vehicle registration, Driver's license of the violator, Citizen ID card of the violator (photocopy 01 copy of each type of document).
