More than 638,000 VAMM motorbikes were sold in the second quarter in Vietnam

More than 638,000 motorbikes of 5 VAMM members were consumed in Q2/2026 in Vietnam, an increase of 4.4% compared to the same period last year.

The Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM) has just announced sales in Q2/2026 (from April to the end of June 2026), reaching 638,431 vehicles, an increase of 4.4% compared to the same period in 2025.

According to VAMM, the above results reflect the sales volume of 5 member enterprises including Honda Vietnam, Yamaha Motor Vietnam, Piaggio Vietnam, SYM Vietnam and Vietnam Suzuki. This is the total sales volume in the domestic market, not the production output and also does not include the number of exported vehicles.

Currently, VAMM members are providing the Vietnamese market with a diverse product portfolio, spanning from manual transmission vehicles, scooters, manual transmission vehicles, sports vehicles to large displacement vehicles and electric motorbikes.

In particular, Honda Vietnam continues to own a large product portfolio with many popular models such as Wave Alpha 110, Blade, Wave RSX, Future 125 FI, Super Cub C125, CT125, Vision, LEAD, Air Blade 160/125, Sh Mode 125, SH160i/125i, SH350i, Vario 160/125, ADV350, Winner R, CB350 H'ness, NX500, CL500, CB500 Hornet, CB650R, CB1000 Hornet, CBR500R, CBR650R, CBR1000RR-R, Rebel 500, Rebel 1100, Gold Wing, Transalp XL750, Africa Twin, ICON e:, CUV e:, Honda UC3.

Meanwhile, Piaggio Vietnam continues to develop Vespa Primavera, Vespa Sprint, Vespa GTS series, Vespa Sei Giorni, Piaggio Liberty series, Piaggio Liberty S, Piaggio Liberty Z, Piaggio Medley, Piaggio Medley S, Vespa 946, Piaggio MP3, Piaggio Beverly, Aprilia – SRGT, Moto Guzzi.

Notably, VAMM emphasized that the figure of 638,431 vehicles only reflects sales of 5 member enterprises. This statistic does not include sales of many car manufacturers operating in Vietnam but not belonging to VAMM.

Among them are VinFast, Yadea and many other electric motorcycle brands that are expanding market share in recent years. Therefore, the actual scale of the Vietnamese motorcycle market in the second quarter of 2026 is assessed to be significantly larger than the figure announced by VAMM.
