Informing Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the National Traffic Safety Committee said that on the first day of the holiday, the traffic police force handled 8,706 cases; temporarily detained 43 cars, 1,883 motorbikes, and 125 other vehicles; revoked 368 driving licenses of all kinds.
Of which, there were 1,482 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 2,437 cases of speeding violations, 71 cases of overload; 42 cases of limited dosage; 5 cases of drugs.
On April 30, 2025, there were 42 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 14 people and injuring 38 people. Compared to the first holiday in 2024: 42 fewer cases, 21 fewer deaths, 27 fewer injuries.

The error of running below the minimum speed
- For cars, a fine of VND 800,000 to VND 1,000,000 is imposed if:
Driving a vehicle at a speed below the minimum speed on a road section with a prescribed minimum speed.
Driving a vehicle at a speed lower than other vehicles traveling in the same direction without going to the lane on the right side of the vehicle in the same direction, except in cases where other vehicles traveling in the same direction exceed the prescribed speed.
- For motorbikes:
Fines from VND 200,000 to VND 400,000 for driving at a speed below the minimum speed limit on a road section with a prescribed minimum speed limit.
Fines from VND 400,000 to VND 600,000 if driving at low speed without going on the right side of the road, causing traffic obstruction.
Regulations on maximum speed of vehicles participating in traffic in 2025 are implemented according to the provisions of Circular 38/2024/TT-BGTVT.

- For motorbikes:
Fine for motorbikes exceeding the prescribed speed from 05 km/h to less than 10 km/h: Fine from 400,000 VND to 600,000 VND.
Fine for speeding by motorbikes from 10 km/h to 20 km/h: Fine from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND.
The fine for driving a motorbike at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 20 km/h: Fine from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000; at the same time, the violator will have 4 points deducted from the driver's license.
- For cars:
Fine for speeding from 05 km/h to under 10 km/h: Fine from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND.
Fine for driving a car at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit from 10 km/h to 20 km/h: Fine from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000; at the same time, the violator will have 2 points deducted from the driver's license.
The fine for driving a car at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit is from over 20 km/h to 35 km/h: Fine from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000; at the same time, the violator will have 4 points deducted from the driver's license.
The fine for driving a car at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 35 km/h: Fine from VND 12,000,000 to VND 14,000,000; at the same time, the violator will have 6 points deducted from the driver's license.

For motorbike drivers
A fine of VND 2,000,000 to VND 3,000,000 shall be imposed on a driver on the road with a blood or breath alcohol concentration not exceeding 50 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or not exceeding 0.25 milligrams/1 liter of breath. Subtracting 4 driving license points.
A fine of VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers on the road whose blood or breath alcohol concentration exceeds 50 milligrams to 80 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or exceeds 0.25 milligrams to 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath. Subtract 10 points from the driver's license.
A fine of VND 8,000,000 to VND 10,000,000 shall be imposed on a driver on the road with a blood or breath alcohol concentration exceeding 80 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or exceeding 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath. Revoking the right to use a driving license for 22 to 24 months.
For car drivers
A fine of VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000 shall be imposed on a driver on the road with a blood or breath alcohol concentration not exceeding 50 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or not exceeding 0.25 milligrams/1 liter of breath. Subtracting 04 driving license points.
A fine of VND 18,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 shall be imposed on drivers on the road whose blood or breath alcohol concentration exceeds 50 milligrams to 80 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or exceeds 0.25 milligrams to 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath. Subtract 10 points from the driver's license.
A fine of VND 30,000,000 to VND 40,000,000 shall be imposed on a driver on the road with a blood or breath alcohol concentration exceeding 80 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or exceeding 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath. Revokation of the right to use a driving license from 22 months to 24 months.
