The first McLaren Artura Spider convertible supercar to arrive in Vietnam has just been spotted rolling on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, attracting the attention of car enthusiasts thanks to its unique design and auction license plate. Although it has been in Vietnam for more than a year, this model rarely appears in public, making the latest rolling especially noteworthy.
The McLaren Artura Spider has a purple exterior that changes color according to the perspective, combined with a dark rim and outstanding yellow brake clips. The license plate of the car was successfully auctioned by the owner, contributing to increasing the collectible value and personalization for this convertible supercar.
Technically, the Artura Spider was developed based on an aluminum and carbon chassis platform similar to the coupe version, but has been refined to increase stiffness and reduce weight. Thanks to that, the vehicle is 62 kg lighter than the standard configuration, helping to improve performance and aerodynamics.
The 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 engine combined with an electric motor for a total capacity of 690 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 330 km/h. These figures put Artura Spider in the group of top high-performance supercars today.
With a soft design, flexible roof and impressive performance, McLaren Artura Spider continues to affirm the philosophy of "technology-attached performance" of the British brand. The appearance of the car in Ho Chi Minh City not only marks another rare domestic supercar model but also reflects the growing attraction of the McLaren line in the Vietnamese sports car enthusiast community.
