MG has just started accepting deposits for the Windsor EV at all dealerships and the company’s official website. To reserve this new model, customers need to provide full information and a deposit of 130 USD.
Customers can also buy the car with a battery, starting at $16,000 for the entry-level Excite, $17,300 for the Exclusive, and $18,500 for the Essence.
To attract customers, MG has launched a "BaaS" or "Battery as a Service" program that helps customers not have to pay the full cost of ownership up front. Customers can pay $11,800 for this model and add $0.40 per 10 km (battery rental cost) to own the car.
The company also offers a free lifetime warranty on the battery, but this offer is only for the first owner. In addition, customers can also charge the battery for 1 year free at public charging stations. MG also promises to buy back at 60% of the price after 3 years or running no more than 45,000 km.

According to the latest report, in September, total electric vehicle sales in India reached only 5,733 units, down 9% compared to the same period in 2023. This number is likely to continue to decline as the Indian government has abandoned the electric vehicle subsidy program.
Other reasons for the decline in electric vehicle sales include high initial costs and concerns about limited range due to small battery capacities...
