In December 2024, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province issued Decision 767/QD-UBND in 2024 on standards and norms for the use of specialized vehicles at agencies, organizations, units, and localities under its management.
This Decision promulgates standards and norms for the use of specialized cars at agencies, organizations, units, and localities under the management scope of Quang Ngai province (except for specialized cars in the medical field and specialized cars at public service units that self-finance regular and investment expenses).
Subjects, types, and quantity of specialized vehicles are specified in Appendix I attached. Notably, for the district-level People's Committee, each commune, ward of a city, town, and township is allocated 1 truck. This vehicle is used to serve the management of urban order at the commune level (the use of the vehicle must be consistent with the actual requirements and the management and operation of the "operational establishment" vehicle).

Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee stipulates that based on the regulations on standards and norms for the use of specialized cars, agencies, organizations, units and localities are responsible for:
Manage and use cars according to approved standards and norms and handle surplus cars and cars eligible for liquidation according to regulations, ensuring practicality, efficiency and savings.
Arrange and organize the team of drivers when handling surplus cars according to the provisions of the law on labor; account for and publicize car usage costs, fixed costs for car usage, and hire car services for work according to the provisions of the law.
Update data on cars into the National Database on Public Assets as prescribed.
For units approved for standards and norms for cars with more than 16 seats that are currently using 16-seat cars but are not yet eligible for disposal or are still valid, they can continue to use them until they are disposed of according to regulations.
The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province assigns the Chief of Office of the People's Committee of the province; Director of the Department of Finance; Director of the State Treasury of Quang Ngai; Heads of agencies, organizations, units and localities to be responsible for implementing this decision.
