The 2022 Sequoia has many differences from its predecessor. If the SUV model previously had a round and soft appearance, the car has now become rough and sharp.
The 2022 Sequoia's exterior design can be seen to be heavily influenced by the previously launched Tundra pickup truck. Similarities between the two models include a large grille, T-shaped headlights, black paint on pillars A or mechanical fenders.
The rear design is vertical with a cluster of LED rear lights lying at the same level as the Land Cruiser model. The car's name "Sequoia" is printed in the middle right on the rear bumper.
Toyota has not announced information about the 2022 Sequoia interior equipment. However, the latest images of the model show that the 2022 Sequoia interior is also heavily influenced by the Tundra.
Notably, Sequoia 2022 does not have a third row of seats folded flat to the floor like its competitors in the same segment. The Japanese automaker believes this feature is unnecessary, as the third row of Sequoia 2022 has the ability to slide up to 152 mm, enough to increase passenger foot space or improve the rear luggage compartment space depending on usage needs.
The SUV is also equipped with a 3-speed cargo handling bar that can be customized to optimize storage capacity.
Providing power for the 2022 Sequoia is the exclusive hybrid i-Force Max powertrain. This powertrain includes a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine and an electric motor, producing a total capacity of 437 horsepower and a maximum torque of 790 Nm.
The highlight of Sequoia 2022's safety equipment is the Toyota Safety sense 2.5 proactive safety technology package. In addition, the model has other driver's assistance equipment including automatic lighting, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, 360 camera, rear cross-traffic warning, front/rear parking assist with automatic brakes.
Sequoia 2022 will be launched in the US market this year. The model will compete with big names such as Ford Expedition, Jeep Wagoneer, Cadillac Escalade or GMC Yukon.
