On April 30, the first day of the holiday, the National Traffic Police force simultaneously launched two key themes to deploy, including handling violations against passenger and cargo business vehicles and handling alcohol concentration violations.
The deployment takes place at the same time nationwide, mobilizing thousands of officers and soldiers to participate, showing the determination to tighten control and ensure traffic order and safety during the peak holiday.
In the topic of controlling passenger cars and trucks, functional forces mobilized 688 passenger car control teams and 478 truck control teams.
For passenger cars, functional forces inspected 4,142 vehicles, detected and handled 367 violations and 6 vehicle owners. Many cases were revoked badges, temporarily seized vehicles, and driver's license points were deducted.
For trucks and tractor-trailers, traffic police inspected 5,959 vehicles, handled 764 violations and 43 vehicle owners.
Common errors include speeding, stopping and parking in violation of regulations, carrying overloaded and oversized goods, and not complying with lane and traffic signal regulations.
Notably, the situation of carrying more people than allowed and carrying goods in the passenger compartment still appears, posing a potential risk of serious traffic accidents.
Meanwhile, in the alcohol concentration handling topic, the Traffic Police force deployed 676 working groups with more than 2,500 turns of officers and soldiers on duty from 7 pm to 12 am.
Through inspection of 27,865 vehicles, functional forces discovered 1,562 cases of alcohol concentration violations. The entire 1,562 vehicles were temporarily seized, and 194 cases were revoked driver's licenses.
According to records, most violations are concentrated among motorbike drivers, showing that the awareness of complying with traffic laws of a part of the population is still limited, although regulations and sanctions have been strongly propagated.
The Traffic Police force affirmed that it will strictly implement the spirit of no forbidden zones, no exceptions in handling violations, especially for acts that are direct causes of traffic accidents.
Traffic police also recommend that people absolutely do not drive after drinking alcohol, do not use transport vehicles that violate regulations, do not carry overloaded or overnumbered people, and strictly comply with speed, lanes and traffic signals.
During the holidays, raising awareness of self-discipline in law compliance not only protects oneself but also contributes to ensuring community safety.
The Traffic Police force will continue to maintain peak patrols, inspections, and strictly handle violations nationwide throughout the holidays.
