Electric vehicle users feel secure because of the wide network of charging stations

In recent times, along with the diverse development of electric vehicles, many charging stations have been continuously built to meet the needs of the people.

Users are satisfied when charging station infrastructure is everywhere

Mr. Trinh Manh Cuong (Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi) drove a VinFast VF e34 electric car to an urban area near his home to charge the battery. Without having to wait long, it only took more than 30 minutes, the car was ready for the next journey.

"I have been using an electric car for more than a year now. At first, I was also worried about the lack of charging stations, but only when I used a car did I feel completely secure. Going from the inner city to Ba Vi or even back to his hometown in Lang Son, every few dozen kilometers there is a V-Green station or a partner - he shared.

At another charging station on Nguyen Xien Street, Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha (Thanh Xuan Ward) also expressed her satisfaction at being able to easily find a charging station on the VinFast application. "I used to hesitate to switch from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles. But now the infrastructure is developing too quickly. Charging 2-3 times a week, all near home or work, without taking the time I imagined" - Ms. Ha said.

Mr. Le Huu Phong (Hoang Mai ward), who has been using VF 8 electric cars since the beginning of 2024, said: "On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, my whole family drove an electric car back to our hometown in Hung Yen, without any obstacles to the charging station. I had prepared a plan to stop the break, but I didn't need to go there because there were too many charging stations."

The above shares are not a single phenomenon. In recent months, the number of charging stations of V-Green - a charging station development partner for VinFast - has expanded strongly, from the city center to rural areas and tourist areas. This system not only helps users feel secure, but also plays a decisive role in promoting the green transformation trend in Vietnam.

Continuously covering charging stations, creating "blood vessels" for electric vehicles

According to calculations, V-Green has deployed more than 150,000 charging ports nationwide, the highest number in Southeast Asia. Not stopping there, the goal in the next 3 years is to reach 500,000 charging ports, covering each locality, each tourist destination, each vital traffic route.

Modern charging stations are increasingly expanded with many capacity levels, notably 120kW super-fast charging stations. Some large stations have a capacity of up to 360kW, allowing for a significant shortening of charging time.

To overcome infrastructure challenges, V-Green applies a charging station franchise model, allowing individuals and organizations to invest and operate stations with technical support and operation from V-Green. In just the first week of implementing the policy in September 2024, there were more than 1,000 investment registrations. Thanks to that, the speed of charging station expansion in the following months accelerated significantly.

According to statistics, in June 2025 alone, V-Green put into use 9,000 more electric vehicle charging ports nationwide, including about 20 large stations with more than 40 120kW charging ports per station.

In Hanoi alone, a series of large-scale charging stations that have appeared consecutively in recent times have received many compliments from users such as the station at 131 Nguyen Phong Sac, Giap Bat bus station (all equipped with 40 120kW charging ports). Inspection station 2902S Yen Vien owns up to 70 120kW charging ports while the charging station at Minh Khai parking lot, Nhon area has 84 120kW charging ports...

In particular, to expand rapidly, V-Green has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with VietinBank. The VND4,000 billion credit package will support charging station investors to easily access capital, with preferential interest rates from 6.3%/year. Charging station investors can receive credit support of up to 70% of the total investment value, loan term of up to 5 years and flexible asset support. This is a big boost to socialize charging infrastructure and create sustainable financial motivation for thousands of individual investors across the country.
