This morning (May 22), a video clip appeared on social media reflecting a fire of a heavy truck running in a coal mine in Quang Ninh.
It is known that this type of vehicle has a load capacity of up to nearly 100 tons and if bought a new one, the price can reach tens of billions of VND.
According to Lao Dong's investigation, the car fire occurred at the open-pit coal mine of Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company, Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province.
The representative of this company said that the burned vehicle belonged to an outside enterprise with a contract to loose excavators, transport soil and wastewater from the mining site to the dumping site.
Yesterday (May 21), while transporting near the dumping area, the vehicle caught fire, the initial cause was determined to be oil seepage.
However, the fire was extinguished soon after.
For many years, coal mining companies, especially open-pit mines, have often signed contracts to unload and transport soil and rock waste in the mines. This is to save huge investments in purchasing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles as well as having to maintain an expensive operating apparatus.
