According to Thanh Cong Group's report, the progress of Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, in Viet Hung Industrial Park, Ha Long City, is still on schedule. Up to now, the factory has completed the trial assembly of the first Skoda cars. It is expected to officially go into commercial operation in the second quarter of 2025.
Quang Ninh province has identified the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project as one of the province's key growth drivers in 2025, and is especially expected to add new capacity to the processing and manufacturing industry of Quang Ninh province in the future.
In particular, for 2025, for the industrial - construction sector, the processing and manufacturing industry continues to be identified as the main growth driver. To achieve the growth target of this sector in 2025, the identified scenario needs to ensure that Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory goes into commercial production as planned, reaching 20,000 cars in 2025.
Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, invested by Thanh Cong Group, is built on an area of 36.5 hectares; capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year, with modern equipment lines, high level of automation, in accordance with international standards.
In the initial phase of operation, the factory will assemble SUV and B-class Sedan segments to suit the tastes and current consumption trends of Vietnamese people. In the next phase, the factory will expand to environmentally friendly electric vehicles.
In the immediate future, the factory will produce and assemble the first car of the Skoda brand, Czech Republic in Vietnam.
In the coming time, Thanh Cong Group will continue to invest in Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile manufacturing factory phase 2, including the construction of a stamping and welding factory and Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile auxiliary factory, making Quang Ninh one of the country's major automobile manufacturing centers.
The products of Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory will not only be the supply source for the current core automobile manufacturing and business activities of Thanh Cong Group, but also aim for export; contributing to promoting the Vietnamese automobile supporting industry to reach regional and world markets.
