In Quang Ninh, Thanh Cong Group is currently investing in developing Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automotive and Supporting Industry Complex on a total scale of 400 hectares in Viet Hung Industrial Park, with a convenient location for both domestic and international trade.
As the central project in the complex, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory - a multi-brand automobile manufacturing and assembly factory - has been invested in and built by Thanh Cong Group on a large, modern scale.
The factory has a total designed capacity of over 120,000 vehicles/year, modern equipment lines, high level of automation, in accordance with international standards. The production area is planned to include 3 workshops: welding workshop, painting workshop, assembly workshop, and quality control functional areas. Up to now, the main investment items such as test track, office building, LPG station, fuel station... have all been completed, ready for the factory to officially start testing from the end of 2024 and commercial operation from the beginning of 2025. In the immediate future, the factory will produce and assemble the first car of the Skoda brand in Vietnam.
In the coming time, Thanh Cong Group will continue to invest in Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile manufacturing factory phase 2, including the construction of a stamping and welding factory and Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile auxiliary factory, making Quang Ninh one of the country's major automobile manufacturing centers.
At the meeting, Thanh Cong Group's leaders requested Quang Ninh province to support investors in land procedures; in land mines for leveling the infrastructure project of Viet Hung Industrial Park; in investing in completing the connecting traffic infrastructure system; in supplying electricity to the 110kV transformer station of Viet Hung Industrial Park; in supporting investors in implementing the worker housing project; in creating favorable conditions for land funds to build exhibition areas, introduce and test automobile products, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Vu Dai Thang emphasized that Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex is a key project, a driving force for the province's development in the coming years. During the project's implementation, the province has accompanied and supported it to the maximum. This policy will continue to be implemented in the coming time.
Regarding some specific proposals of the investor, Mr. Vu Dai Thang requested departments, branches and Ha Long City to actively participate, focusing on solving outstanding issues and problems related to Thanh Cong Group's project; especially issues related to the allocation of land for leveling, investment in worker housing projects, completion of connecting traffic infrastructure, and power sources. Departments, branches and Ha Long City must provide maximum support to complete in the shortest time, ensuring synchronization in each phase of the projects in Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automotive and Supporting Industry Complex.
Regarding the proposal related to the construction of a product display, introduction and experience area, the Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee requested the Group to report the specific ideas, scale and location to Ha Long City in accordance with the planning.
