Previously, according to the report of the Traffic Police Department (Hung Yen Provincial Police), from October 20 to October 26, through exploiting the surveillance camera system and using professional equipment, the traffic police force recorded 14 cases of vehicles violating the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety being fined.
Of which, 8 cases of red light violations are as follows:
People should note that the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulating administrative sanctions for violations of road traffic safety and order; deduction of points, restoration of driving license points take effect from January 1, 2025.
Accordingly, some violations of road traffic safety order have increased fines compared to before, such as drivers running red lights being fined 18-20 million VND (old level was 4-6 million VND).
In order to effectively implement the newly issued laws, the traffic police forces of localities are actively implementing many synchronous measures, with the motto of focusing on both propaganda and strict handling.

The police requested violators to go to the police headquarters where the fine was detected or to the police station where they resided to resolve the violation according to regulations.
