On September 23, according to the leader of the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, immediately after receiving information about cars going in the wrong direction, they directed National Highway 13 Traffic Police Station to investigate and verify the driver of the violating vehicle, and invite him to work to strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
National Highway 13 Traffic Police Station has invited Ms. N.T.N.N (born in 1978, residing in Phu An Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to work. Ms. N.T.N.N was the one who drove the car with license plate 61K - 130.56 in the wrong direction.
At the meeting, Ms. N.T.N.N stated that at 3:00 p.m. on September 22, driving car 61K - 130.56 to Binh Duong ward for personal work. When reaching the section of DT 742 road in Binh Duong ward, due to being in a hurry, the car was driving on the wrong side of the road. Ms. N's car blocked the way of another car running in the correct lane. When the incident occurred, many people reminded Ms. N to reverse the car, but due to confusion, it was not handled promptly.
Ms. N herself felt that her behavior of driving on the wrong side of the road was a violation of the law and asked to take responsibility for her behavior.
According to the leader of the Traffic Police Department, the unit drew up a record to fine from 4-6 million VND and deduct 4 points from the driver's license for Ms. N for driving on the wrong side of the road as prescribed in Point b, Clause 5, Article 6 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on the morning of September 23, a clip was circulating on the internet recording a scene of a car driving in the wrong direction, blocking right in front of another car. Despite being reminded by passersby and asked to back down, the driver still refused to give up. This obstructed other vehicles.
