On November 8, Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 drew up a record to handle a case of violating traffic order and safety based on information reported by people via the phone number of the Head of the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police.
Accordingly, on November 6, people sent a complaint about a motorbike with license plate 29A2-1044.xx having a sticker covering its license plate while traveling on Khuat Duy Tien Street.
After receiving the information, Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 quickly verified. Using professional measures, the authorities identified the driver as N.Q.A, born in 2003, residing in Hoa Xa commune, Hanoi.
On November 8, Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 invited N.Q.A to work. Based on the collected documents, the working group will draw up a record of administrative sanctions for driving a vehicle with a license plate using other materials and sticking them on the letters and numbers of the license plate, according to the provisions of Point b, Clause 3, Article 14, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP. The applicable fine is 5 million VND and 6 points are deducted from the driver's license.
On November 6, people reported to the phone number of the Head of the Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police about the case of a young man driving a motorbike with license plate 29AC-9 18.xx weaving and swerving on Lang Ha Street, causing traffic insecurity. Immediately after receiving the report, the Head of the Traffic Police Department directed the Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 to urgently review and verify. By the afternoon of November 7, the authorities identified the violator as V.T.K.V. (born in 2009, residing in Giang Vo ward), currently an 11th grade student at Hanoi Tourism College. At the police station, V. admitted to all violations.
Based on the results of the work, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 drew up a record to administratively fine V. for driving a motorbike without a rearview mirror and swerving on the road. Because the violator is under 18 years old, the total fine will be 4,750,000 VND. The police agency also requested the family and school to take measures to educate, manage, and prevent violations.
On November 3, 2025, people reported information and images of two motorbikes with license plates 29D2-X9999 traveling on Hue Street to the hotline of the Director of the Traffic Police Department.
Immediately afterwards, the leaders of the Traffic Police Department and the Board of Directors of Hanoi City Police directed the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) to urgently verify and handle the case.
Through verification measures, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 - Traffic Police Department identified the individuals involved and invited them to the headquarters for questioning.
The results showed that: Mr. D.M.T (born in 1977, residing in Dinh Cong ward, Hanoi) is the legal owner of a white Honda SH motorbike, license plate number 29D2-X9999. After selling the car to Mr. T.D.L (born in 1950, residing in Hoan Kiem ward, Hanoi), Mr. T completed the procedures to revoke the license plate and register another red Honda SH mode car, continuing to attach the license plate 29D2-X9999 according to regulations.
Due to poor health and having to be treated at the hospital, Mr. L has not completed the procedures to register the car to buy back. During this time, his daughter, Ms. T.L.P (born in 1980), arbitrarily ordered a license plate 29D2-X9999 through social networks, attached to a white Honda SH mode for use.
Based on the verification results, Road Traffic Police Team No. 4 has issued an administrative penalty notice to Ms. T.L.P for driving a vehicle with a license plate not issued by a competent authority and without a vehicle registration certificate. The total fine is 7.5 million VND, and 6 points are deducted from the driver's license and the valid license plate is confiscated.
