Point d, Clause 3, Article 33 of the Law on Traffic Safety and Order 2024 stipulates that motorbike drivers are not allowed to perform the following acts:
driving in a row.
Take a bus into the pedestrian and other vehicle section.
Using umbrellas, audio equipment, except hearing aids.
Letting go of both hands; riding a motorbike on one wheel for a motorbike or two-wheeled motorbike; riding a motorbike on two wheels for a motorbike or three-wheeled motorbike.
Using a vehicle to pull, push other vehicles or objects, lead livestock, carry, carry and transport bulky objects; carrying people standing on the vehicle, a cargo rack or sitting on the handlebars; loading goods on the vehicle beyond the prescribed limit.
Sitting on one side to drive a vehicle; standing or lying on the vehicle to control the vehicle; changing the driver while the vehicle is running; turning the person back to drive the vehicle or blindfolding the vehicle; using a kickstand or other object to scrape the road while the vehicle is running.
If a motorcyclist deliberately uses the foot of a motorbike to scrape the road while participating in traffic, he/she will be heavily fined.
Point a, Clause 9, Article 7 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulates the penalty for motorbike drivers who violate road traffic rules as follows:
Fines from VND 8 million to VND 10 million for drivers who commit one of the following violations: Driving a vehicle in a zigzag or swerving manner on the road; using a kickstand or other object to scrape the road while the vehicle is running.
Those who commit this act and cause a traffic accident will be fined from 10 million VND to 14 million VND.
In addition to the fine, motorcyclists who use a kickstand to sweep the road while the vehicle is running will have their driving license confiscated for 10 to 12 months.
