The recall comes after the company received 1,460 reports and 53,448 warranty requests from customers. The recall affects many other types of trucks of the company from 2017 and 2018. They include the 2,500 and 3,500 versions as well as the chassis cabin versions of the 3500, 4500 and 5500.
Recoveries say the company's trucks are equipped with easy to break or deform controls. The decline occurs gradually because damaged parts can cause loss of braking and non-continuous traction control, eventually leading to complete failure.
The National Road Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation nearly two years ago and worked with the company to find the fault. After a period of testing, the feces were discovered and the collection was carried out today.
The recall is implemented more strongly when there are some related accidents without or with very few warnings to users. The presence of 4,622 customer support records, 53,448 warranty requests and 1,460 reports shows that this is a fairly common problem.
According to the company, the recall notice will be sent via mailbox to the owner, expected in early next month. The dealers will replace the defective hydraulic controller for free.
